After a thorough and rigorous review process by ICBC, on the 22nd of May 2020, we were contacted and informed that INS Claims Services Inc. was a successful applicant and, therefore, is being awarded an ICBC billing number.
Experienced independent adjusters attached to INS Claims are expected to be entered into the ICBC database in early June 2020, which will allow ICBC adjusters to forward assignments to INS Claims for investigation.
ICBC is extremely discerning when accepting companies as a business partner and issuing a vendor number. In our case, ICBC posted they were accepting independent adjusting firms to apply through a government website. We subsequently completed a rather lengthy submission that was thoroughly reviewed by a team at ICBC.
All correspondence is submitted through the government site and we found ICBC has extremely high standards when selecting their business partners. Our written documents were diligently reviewed and scored.
In our submission, ICBC requested we respond in detail on many important issues. We had to explain our internal corporate Freedom of Information and Privacy Policies to ensure sensitive information is secure. Furthermore, we also defined and outlined our customer service delivery model and how we will be a value-added business partner to ICBC. A complete work history for each independent adjuster was submitted in order for ICBC to confirm our adjusters meet their skills, knowledge and abilities standards.
INS Claims currently has 19 adjusters qualified to take on work assignments from ICBC. Click here to meet Our Team.
Although the process was time consuming for both parties, it is integral every vendor articulate their qualifications in detail in order to meet these high standards.
We are pleased the staff at ICBC was able to review and approve our application, especially during the challenging work situations resulting from Covid-19 and with the extra pressures brought on by changing to the no-fault system.
